Yes, I am a Trekkie! Star Trek was my first scifi love and I greatly
enjoy cosplaying many different characters
from the Trek universe.

Trek Therapy
Why do I like Star Trek so
much, many people ask. Well, it all started in 1994 when I
was a lost
teenager. One night around 11:30 pm I was flipping thru channels and
stopped when I heard
some strange conversation about jeffries tubes, warp cores and words
that sounded like language from my chemistry class.
Intrigued, I began watching. It was Geordi and Data, and from that
moment on began an obsession, and
a journey of healing. Dr. Crusher stood out to me right away as the
kind of strong, caring woman I had always wished I had in my life.
She quickly became my idol. Suffering from debilitating hypochondriasis
since I was 6, Star Trek gave me hope for a utopian future
where there are few illnesses that can't be cured. Deanna Troi
impressed me with her comfort and strength. Captain Picard gave me
hope
that there really are good men out there and Data became my best
friend. The Vulcans eerily reminded me of myself and I could finally
have someone
to relate to. I didn't have many friends in school, I was one
of
those nerdy misfits that was a late bloomer and also I suffer from a
mild form
autism known as Asperger's syndrome. This makes me quite alien and a
social klutz. I often wear a Vulcan like emotionless mask
that
frequently
prompts people to ask me if I am ok or if anything is wrong.
I'm
usually perfectly fine, but inside is a fierce onslaught of emotions
constantly wanting to come out and I must control this because the
intensity is usually not appropriate under most circumstances.
The only way I can commmunicate my emotions to people is through
dancing. Dance is my art, a joyous gift from my soul to my audience.
If I can make someone really FEEL something when they watch me dance,
then I feel fulfilled and happy.
I am Vulcan, hear me roar!

Kira is
yet another gorgeous Trek redhead and she completely won me over when she sang
Fever to Odo in
"His Way". The red dress she wears is to die for and I am thinking of singing Fever on top of a piano to my dear Odo. ;-)
Dax's smokin' hot little red dress...
Dax's dress uniform.
It has arrived from Warp one and with just a few alterations will be
ready for the next
official uniform required event.
