Sultan's Stars performed at
the Fall Arts Festival in downtown Gainesville.
We opened with "Raks Mona",
then followed with our cane dance and
ended with "Awazal".
I did a hot drum solo
(literally) choreography by Jillina.
Zarifa Sa'id rolled out the rug for my
sword dance and what did she find?
My goodness.....a magic genie lamp!!!!

On Oct 18, Sultan's Stars had their debut opening for 2012 at the
Shamrock.
We did a 45 minute show. I opened
with "Techno Shamadan", the group did
Raks Leyla,
Soraya's cane dance, and our newest
number, Soraya's "Awazal".
Cathleen and
Felicia did a beautiful veil duet
to Rum Tum Bi Salama and I did a
rockin' drum solo
choreographed by Jillina. I closed
the show with my signature sword
dance.
Pemella
and I regularly open for the very talented band 2012. Recent
appearances have been
at Alligator Rocks and the
Shamrock in downtown Gainesville.
